Jennifer Sullivan
Owner
Jennifer is a Charlotte native who graduated from UNCC with a Masters of Accountancy. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Personal Financial Specialist. After starting her career at a small firm 2007, Jennifer purchased the firm in 2017. She and her husband, Chuck, have two children. They enjoy camping and being outdoors.
Russ Allen
Tax Manager
Russ owned Russell Allen & Associates, Inc. which was purchased by Jennifer Sullivan in 2017. Russ has over 35 years’ experience. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and University of South Carolina and has degrees in Business Administration and a Masters of Accountancy. He enjoys volunteering at Charlotte elementary schools and spending time on the golf course.
Harriet Furuseth
Tax Manager
Typical coffee advocate. Over 5 years of experience in Harriet is a CPA with over 30 years’ experience in public accounting, providing tax and accounting services. A graduate of East Carolina University and UNCC, she has degrees in History and Accounting. When not at Sullivan CPA, PA, Harriet enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
Julia Wiethorn
Senior Tax Accountant
Julia has been with the firm since August of 2020. She has over 7 years’ experience in the accounting field. She is a Ohio native who moved to North Carolina in 2018. She started her career in public accounting after graduating from the University of Cincinnati in 2013. She is a passionate supporter of nonprofit organizations and loves to volunteer. She is a dog mom of two and enjoys kayaking, fishing, traveling and sand volleyball.
Mike Sherman
Consultant
He serves as the firm’s financial planner which allows him to look at each client’s specific situation in a different light. He is from Potomac, Maryland and tries to be a Washington Redskins fan.
Katarina Walker
Office Manager/Staff Tax Preparer
Kat has been with the firm since the end of 2019. She has 10 years’ experience in the administrative field. She is a Charleston, SC native and has recently moved to Charlotte to join the Sullivan CPA, PA family. Kat is a Dallas Cowboys fan. She enjoys taking road trips and spending time with family and friends.
Staci Hess
Administrative Assistant
Staci has been with the firm as needed since 2009. She has over 12 years experience in the administrative tax field. Staci moved to Charlotte in 2000 and loves the city. She enjoys live comedy and concerts.
Lisa Shelton
Staff Accountant
Lisa Shelton has over 27 years’ accounting experience in various industries including Automotive, Cable TV, IT Consulting, and Commercial Construction. Lisa is in her 5th season as a tax preparer for Sullivan CPA and primarily focuses on Individual Returns. Lisa has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA with a concentration in Finance. In her spare time Lisa likes to study the financial markets, go for walks with her dog, play bridge and play the guitar.
